Choreographer and performer. Graduate of School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam and Sociology (Ma) at Warsaw University. Recipient of scholarships – DanceWEB 2011 (ImPulsTanz Festival, Vienna) and NRW Tanzrecherche 2013 (Germany). Magdalena is the author of, mainly, solo works (i.a.’surfing’, ‘exercises for a Hero’) which she has presented in Holland, Germany, Romania, Portugal and Poland. She participated in projects and workshops by Deborah Hay, La Ribot, Meg Stuart, Ann Liv Young, Benoît Lachambre, Xavier Le Roy, Ria Highler, Robert Steijn among others. She engages in collaboration with other choreographers (Marina Colomina – project “surplus”, Marysia Stokłosa, Marta Ziółek “Golden Demons”) and works as a performer (for Marysia Stokłosa, Marta Ziółek, Renata Piotrowska). She is a holder of the scholarship of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland for 2014. Alongside to developing an artistic practice she teaches choreography and movement research. Magdalena views choreography as a tool for facilitating conditions for different perceptions of time and space we are in. She considers the body as a vehicle of this experience.
