TRALFAMADORIA is the name of Vonnegut’s imaginary planet where linear time no longer exists and death has shed its gruesome aspect of being the inevitable and ultimate end of human life. On Tralfamadoria it is no more than just one of great many furtive moments in human life, whose order now can be rearranged or reversed. In Chlewinska’s hands Vonnegut’s vision becomes a haunting metaphor that fills every last bit of her performance. Her one-woman journey to Tralfamadoria is an amalgam of movement laboratory, refined dance choreography and performative lecture, in which words and drawings quickly sketched on a pen tablet by the performer herself are simultaneously projected on a large screen above the audience.
